Dauntless is a strange book, to me it seems like a mix of the hunger games and the demon king. This book is about when a girl named Beatrice. There are 5 types of people in this book, the erudites (The extremely smart people) the abnigations (the selfless people) the amnity, candor, dauntless (the courageous) Beatrice has grown up in an abnigation home is supposed to choose one of the two possible choices that she is allowed to pick. The Abnagations or the Dauntless. This book is diffidently strange, it shows an alternative world where everything from the mindset to the very feeling of the cities, this appears to take place in a version of Chicago. Beatrice must make a tough choice and in the end chooses dauntless. The dauntless are supposed to be fearless. There first test is to jump onto a moving train, that is an example of how they are supposed to act. But before she chose Something strange happened, on her test results (to become one of the 5 types of people) she received an inconclusive, also known as a divergent...this is supposedly very dangerous and some people are out to hurt her because of this

The drowned cities
The Drowned cities is the second book of the ship breaker cities. This. Are story is about what happened to a half man named tool. Half men are a crossbreed of a man, a tiger, a wolf, a lion and many other dangerous wild animals. Tool has escaped death many, many times, but that appears to be coming to an end. Tool has become weekend by the on going fight between him and his captors, they thought him to be dead after his fight with a mammoth of a alligator, and tool himself thought that he was going to die, but that has all changed. Mahili a castoff girl and her friend named mouse find the monstrous creature. They save by using the very few medications that dr.malfouz and Mahili have left. After they revive him there town is attacked by army of children called the UPF. They are hunting for tool. Mouse gets captured and Mahili and Tool must go get him back, mahili owes him, he saved her.... My favorite character is the half man tool. You get to see what other intelligent creatures think of the affaires that go on with humans and also you get a new kind of perspective from him. The author does a great job conveying what has happened to the earth since it started to decay, for instance New Orleans has turned into the drowned cities. If you like strange books with a good dose of adventure I would definitely consider reading this one

Moon over manifest
This is book is one of the stranger books I've read. It is about a girl named Abilene who was sent away by her father to go live with a man who took him in when he was a child. His name is shady. Her only possession are some newspaper, a few dimes, and a compass. She has heard many great and fantastic story's about the green lush place named manifest, which is we're she is going to live for a while, but she soon finds out that those tales were in the past, and it's just an old run down town. But soon after going to her first, and last, day of school her friends and her go into an old treehouse and Abilene shows them an old cigar case full of old papers. These turn out to be evidence about a spy named the rattler and abilene and her new found friends must try to find out the truth about the rattler even though they have been warned to "leave well enough alone". I'm not very far in the book but so far it's pretty good, my favorite character is shady because he's so polite and quite even though from his description he wouldn't be. Another good idea in this book is the way the author describes kids in school. He sets them into certain groups that seem almost realistic. Over all this is a good book and if you like old spy story's you should read it, but if you are not a patient reader you should not read this book.

Inheritance
This book is an incredible ending to one of my absolute favorite series of all time. I love all the characters and it's amazing how you become so attached to the characters that you can actually feel like your in the story, there are only a few books like that and this is one of them. The plot of the story that the varden, who are the rebels fighting against galbatorix, they are finally marching to the capital to take him on. They are all depending upon the support of the elves, and of course eragon and his dragon saphira. Along they way they make lots of unlikely friends, and make some friends with some old enemies. For example, they make friends with the ur gals, who are a race of monsters, mixed with rams. They also become friends with the king of the were cats, Grimm half paw. We're cats are like werewolves exept they turn into cats and can control when they transform. all of the characters you've heard off before are all their and the varden are hard pressed to get to urubean, the city where galbatorix is hiding. They needed to conquered all of the city's and then defeat the most powerful magician and his dragon which is 7 times the size of a normal one, without dying. what happens is you go through all these amazing battles, and you go through all of the little back stories to all of the characters. Like murtagh, nasudah, and even a little of galbatorix's. My favorite one of these is when Roran needs to go capture a city that is supposed to be unstoppable, he does it in one of the most incredible ways anyone could do, he goes down there water ways under ground, with a whole army, and still manages to conquered the whole city. My favorite part of the book is when saphira eragon and gleadr go to a mysterious island in search of the rock of kuthain, wich is supposed to be an ancient library, but everyone has forgotten. They find inside it that there are dragon eggs, and that they are no longer the last dragons in the race, but they must forget all of it once they leave. My favorite character is gleadr, I like him because he makes up for the lack of wisdom eragon and saphira have, and he is also a relatively funny character and one of my favorites (he is a dead dragon) anyone would think this is a perfect ending to the series and all should read it.

Septimus heap book 6 darke
This book is great because, if you have read the rest of the series this is a perfect way to sum it all up. You finally find out mysteries that you have never encountered before in the series, and you find out the answer to some old ones. In this book a seemingly not menacing boy named Merlin merridith comes across a very evil book/ring. The high wizards have never noticed before because they always thought that he was just a joke. But now all of his waiting has finally paid off. He has trapped the whole castle inside what is known as a dark domaine. Possibly one of the most evil things that could have been done. A dark domain is a big area of focused dark energy that completely smothers all light, and all nor,al living beings. Septimus heap, and all of the others around him must find a way to reverse this before it is to late and everyone is trapped forever. My favorite character in this series is the dragon spit fyre because he doesn't seem like a dragon. You think of him as another main character in the story, you here what he is thinking, you can tell all his different emotions, and so on and so forth. I love this series and think that anyone who likes magic ghosts and witches would love this book. You should all read it one of these days.

This is the fifth book in the septimus heap series so it's obviously a great book. The characters include all of your favorites from the series. Like aunt Zelda, spitfire, septimus, wolf boy, the boggart, beetle, Jenna, and of course mariana. I have not read very far but so far it's a very interesting story. Mariana promotes septimus to a full wizard. Septimus after being promoted had to go back and get his friends from where he last left them, at one of the many harbors. But to his surprise Jen as dad took them onto his ship. Septimus then needs to get them off and fly them home, but on the way spitfire gets hit by lighting and they get stranded on a deserted island. My favorite character is the dragon. I like him because he has a hilarious attitude even though he can't talk. I would recommend this book to anyone who has read the series and anyone who likes magic. My favorite part of the book is all the side story's, like wolf boys, and the little dwarf who is watching the lighthouse.

The last apprentice book 1
This is an absolutely great book, if you like a bunch of strange ghosts, and ghouls, and zombies, and other types of monsters. The main character is. A boy named Thomas ward is the main character in this book. He is an apprentice to a person named Gregory, also known as old Gregory. Old Gregory is a person known as a spook. A spook is a person who deals with ghosts ghasts withes and a bunch of other mystical creatures that most people have not heard of. The first book is about when Gregory first takes on Thomas ward as his apprentice and he begins his training as a spook. There aren't that many spooks because one it's a scary job, and they need to be seventh sons of a seventh son. My favorite character in this book is old Gregory because he is very experienced in fighting the dark and he tells really cool story's like a bunch of story's about how he fights of witches and boggarts. This book Is a good book for anyone who likes mysterious creatures. Like boggarts, a boggart is a creature that is normally invisible, but a seventh son of a seventh son can see them. They can materialize in the shape of a dog cat sheep goat or horse. There are lots of them in the county, the place were this is based. For anyone who likes good story books, and mythical creatures this book is perfect for you, everyone should read this amazing book.
