The last apprentice book 1

This is an absolutely great book, if you like a bunch of strange ghosts, and ghouls, and zombies, and other types of monsters. The main character is. A boy named Thomas ward is the main character in this book. He is an apprentice to a person named Gregory, also known as old Gregory. Old Gregory is a person known as a spook. A spook is a person who deals with ghosts ghasts withes and a bunch of other mystical creatures that most people have not heard of. The first book is about when Gregory first takes on Thomas ward as his apprentice and he begins his training as a spook. There aren't that many spooks because one it's a scary job, and they need to be seventh sons of a seventh son. My favorite character in this book is old Gregory because he is very experienced in fighting the dark and he tells really cool story's like a bunch of story's about how he fights of witches and boggarts. This book Is a good book for anyone who likes mysterious creatures. Like boggarts, a boggart is a creature that is normally invisible, but a seventh son of a seventh son can see them. They can materialize in the shape of a dog cat sheep goat or horse. There are lots of them in the county, the place were this is based. For anyone who likes good story books, and mythical creatures this book is perfect for you, everyone should read this amazing book.

  1. Sounds cool. If you like that I'm sure you'll like Cirque du Freak. Check it out. It has all these monsters and its pretty creepy.

  2. A boggart is part poltergeist part leprechaun part fairy. They can get attached to a house or even a piece of furniture. That's how old world boggarts make it to the new world. They are noisy and like to play tricks on people. I'll stik to my normal house ghosts, thanks.

I'm glad to know about the seventh son of the seventh son thing. That explains why there are so few Spooks. What does taking care of them mean? Getting rid of them? And how man y books are there in this series. Gotta know what I'm up against in terms of reading....
